We love to hear feedback from people who have stayed at our cottage. Below are just a few comments. If you have any feedback or comments please let us know.

“Firstly, I would like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westgate Cottage.  It was the best equipped that we stayed in & all were 4 star detached cottages.  It is surprising how 4 star cottages can vary so much.  Your cottage is a true 4 star, but I would only give the others 3 stars.  The 40 inch TV, as we have at home, was perfect for such a large lounge.  The sofas were comfy, unlike others, & the cottage was easy to keep clean.  It also had the best layout, for someone who takes their dogs on holiday with them.  I find that the often typical open plan kitchen/diner/lounge is difficult to manage when you have dogs.  I prefer to be able to keep the dogs out of the lounge until they are completely dry & clean.  At Westgate Cottage it was also really easy to keep them out of the bedroom area, unlike houses where they do not supply a stair gate.  All in all a PERFECT layout for us, including the fully secure garden.  Some cottages offer fully enclosed gardens, but this does not necessarily mean that they are fully secure.  As dog owners, we need to know.

We usually holiday for 3 or 4 weeks in the autumn & try to find cottages with as many home comforts as we can.  If we were only away for a week, then we would not be so fussy.  The other cottages where we stayed fell well short of Westgate Cottage – they either had small TVs (rubbish) with a TV guide difficult to read even at a reasonable distance, no dishwasher, no tumble dryer or no Wifi.  Although one had a washer/dryer, I personally prefer separate machines.  One also advertised Wifi, which WAS available, but as a PAYG service provided by a local supplier charging £20 per week.  More & more owners are now offering a free Wifi service & with modern smart phones & tablets, this will slowly become the norm.  We took our laptop with us & relied on tethering my mobile with this, where no free Wifi was available.”

“Thanks for welcome gifts. Lovely house. Great to be able to relax and not worry about dogs getting out!  Perfect house – loved chilling on the big sofas with films each night after days of exploring the island.  Lovely cliff top and beach walks everywhere and Osborne House is worth the visit.  Too much to say to put on one page.  Enjoy this cottage and go and experience your own adventures.”

“Despite the rain and even unseasonably cold weather, we had a lovely time here on our first trip to the Isle of Wight.  We loved going to the Needles and enjoyed our dinner at the Wight Mouse Inn.  This cottage is probably one of the nicest we have stayed in – clean, comfortable (love the down comforters in the last bedroom), spacious.  We appreciated all the games, movies and TVs (our kids especially did) and welcome wine and milk.  It was fabulous!  Thank you.”
